Celebrating the End of Summer

It’s hard to believe that another summer has come and gone. Here in the DMV, we were blessed to have the coolest August I can ever recall. Unfortunately, I’ve spent the better part of the month recovering from a really bad case of seasonal allergies which kept me laid up for a couple of weeks. Despite the way my summer ended, it really has been a lot of fun. Here are some of the highlights.

  • Sunny Barbados
  • A tour under the earth in Barbados
  • Harrison’s Cave
  • Family time in Barbados
  • Tropical drink anyone?
  • Breathtaking view in Barbados restaurant
  • Greeting the morning in Martha’s Vineyard
  • Celebrating our girls vacation on the Vineyard
  • One of the many beautiful cottages in Oak Bluffs
  • Yum . . . great fried haddock sandwiches
  • A day at South Beach in Martha’s Vineyard
  • Fran’s butternut squash soup . . . delicious!
  • A tribute to Maya Angelou at the African-American Culture Festival
  • We saw Spike Lee during our morning walk in Oak Bluffs
  • I couldn’t have said it better
  • We met Dr. Henry Louis Gates at the Vineyard!
  • Driving to the Easter Shore
  • View from the Crab Shack in St. Michaels, MD
  • Baltimore Artscape
  • My girls!
  • County Fair

I hope you had a fabulous summer!
